River cruise lines run loyalty programs that stack perks for repeat guests. If you've sailed before, you may be leaving money on the table. Here's the rundown.

Viking Explorer Society

Past Viking guests get $200–$400 shipboard credit per cabin on future sailings (amount depends on how many cruises you've taken), plus a free silver spirit drinks package on some tiers. The credit applies to Christmas-market sailings.

AMA President's Club

AMA's loyalty program offers past-guest perks like priority embarkation, a complimentary laundry, and a photo package. AMA already includes all-day drinks, so the perks are more about service than savings.

Uniworld Past-Guest Credit

Uniworld offers a per-cabin cash-back credit (typically $100–$300) on future sailings, stackable with early-booking offers. Since Uniworld is already all-inclusive, the credit can go toward Masterpiece Collection optional experiences.

Tauck / Scenic / Riverside / Avalon / Emerald

These lines have smaller loyalty perks (priority service, small credits, welcome gifts). The biggest savings are usually in the early-booking promotions, not the loyalty tiers.

Tip

Tell your VPC expert about every river cruise you've taken — even on a different line. Some lines match competitor loyalty tiers, and we can often secure a past-guest perk even on your first sailing with a new line.
